Welcome to Parenting with Passion

We help parents develop more harmonious and co-operative relationships with their children from infancy to adulthood.

Our guidance, developed over three decades, relies on evidence-based psychological theory and research. Our core principle is that the least coercive approach is always best, because it promotes co-operation and independence, and is ultimately least demanding on you, as a parent. Our core activities are designed to help parents understand their children’s experience ‘from the inside’ and communicate more effectively with them.

If you are a parent looking for advice or support, we'd love you to join us at one of our welcoming online group workshops which we run on a regular basis throughout the year. We also offer individual parent and family counselling sessions. Our website provides a range of resources and information to explore and we invite you to join our Facebook community for regular news and insights. If you need urgent help follow the link in the footer.

Do our own childhood traumas influence our parenting?

Being aware of what is influencing your approach as a parent is a critical step towards being the best parent you can be. We’re not going to get it right all the time, but recognising the impact your own childhood traumas might be having on how you parent is important.

Are you a selfish parent?

Putting yourself first often causes feelings of guilt. As a parent, we may feel that we're somehow letting our children down by not making their needs the highest priority. These feelings can be really hard to deal with.
